SEPTA STRIKE!

So like the majority of Philadelphia's citizens I have been inconvenienced by the strike. I did not awake to go to work and find that there would be no train or bus to get me to work at 5:00am. However, I do like to take the subway home at night when I'm through with work. I'm currently working for a theatre so I'm usually not done till 10 or 11. So at that point at night I would rather not have to walk all the way home to south philly; not to mention it's probably not 100% safe to be walking alone after dark. Like everyone else I figured out a new way home. While this dilemma has left manny people up in arms, the angriest people I have found are on criagslist's rant and rave section.

I had never really checked out this section but I though with the recent "tragedy" I might check it out. I've found nothing but gold! Nothing is more interesting to read than unidentified strangers arguing about who is right and who is wrong. There are even debates about what the strike is really about. I personally feel like in this economy to be complaining about "only" getting paid $15-$25/hr is a lot. Especially, when a third of the america population has either lost their job or received major pay cuts. $15/hr is more than most school teacher receive. I'm sorry, but suck it up and do your job! What a joke Septa is,now a days they are lucky they have a decent job that makes good money, especially for not going to college, 52 thousand a year, that is damn good money, and the majority are all black, and they are talking about discrimitory, I wouldn't be able to get a job with Septa because I am the wrong color, I am white, isn't that discrimination in reverse, because the company is all black, where would my rights stand, I don't have NAACP to go to, there is no organization that would help me.
They get their health benefits paid in full, no way, never heard of that before that should be a god sent for them, nobody gets their benefits paid for them in full, and they get bonuses and can't get laid off, what the hell, how selfish could you be, be glad you have jobs that are that good now a days with this economy, and what Rendell offered was damn good, you left people stranded the last minute by pulling a fast one in the middle of the night, I have no respect for Septa.
Stop being selfish, people who take your jobs in a heartbeat, don't have to pay for your benefits, that half my pay goes out for benefits, I wouldn't care if Septa got shut down for good and you would have no jobs, but you know that there are poor people that depend of transportation everyday, so you know you have them.

Ok so since your white your saying that they wont give you a job as a bus driver and you talk about the base salaries being fairly decent and benefits but the fact of the matter is you did'nt address who really makes the money at SEPTA. Its not the black bus drivers but rather all the WHITES who work in the offices! You know, the CEO's CFO's and all the whites in management who don't have to deal with the publics crap all day. Those "management" jobs are RESERVED FOR WHITES and they pay a hell of a lot more than what a bus driver makes. Blacks don't get the gravy jobs, they get the labor jobs. Your white so you can go and get a job doing half as much as a bus driver and make 3 times the salary. But I did'nt hear you talk shit about how all the whites in management who don't have degress, and keep the best jobs for themselves. You talk about money, how much do you think all the white managers are making? Don't be so quick to throw stones at the bus drivers when all the whites at the top are taking all the money! Thats why SEPTA is screwed up and always broke. Paying all those whites the lions share of the money and throwing the scraps to laborers below.
